Rejoicing at his wake!

Curry Goat

What ah lah…..lah….inna de yard t'nite; Ah nine night an de craven raas dem ah come fe goat an rice!

Goh hear dem when dem drink de white rum, some ah dem craven soh till dem ah tumble dung!

What ah lah…lah…inna de yard t'nite; De house full ah music dem ah wheel an ah whine.

Dis as well dem goh dance pon Maas' Linval grave; cause ah noh love dem love him mek de whole ah dem di deh!

Ah rejoice dem ah rejoice seh de ole fart dead' cause dem seh how him mean an him nevva like dem!

An tru ah fe him dead lef' ah buy de goat an rice, dem pack up inna de yard, an ah rejoice!

Mi know when yu dead people remember yu; but sometimes fe de wrong reason, dat noh good!

Hear de loud laughing, now dat him gaan, cause if ah when him did alive

De whole ah dem woulda run!

Mi ah tell yu she ah better dem goh jump pon him grave!

Anyway him did have ah good innings, come of age.

Him used to love de same curry goat an fry fish tu.

An any weh yu deh Maas' Linval. God bless yu!
