Within these Walls
I see your face within these walls, your voice a whisper as you call.
I touch my face for falling tears, then ”hush”, you call
Saying do not fear.
The face you show is that of youth, unblemished, gentle, kind and true.
A smile emblazoned on your face, still I’m unhappy in this place.
For only that your face I see, I cannot touch or embrace thee
A spiritual bond is what we share, but you are gone and I am here.
Within these walls there’s love and pain, your memory trapped here, so in vain.
Still yet I pine for what has gone, but this home we once shared keeps you hanging on.
Within these walls it’s plain to see, that when my time comes together we’ll be!
