The sun beats down upon my skin

I feel it warming deep within

A subtle glow is all I need

Causing sadness to recede

My mood just lifts at the sight

Of summer sun it's shining light

I feel my energy renew

The winter months are almost here

And then my blues will reappear

I'll feel so down and won't know why

I'll even sit around and cry

A depression deep it holds me tight

All because of a lack of light

There will be an end to my grief

I'm hoping that this winters brief
