On Holiday
Mercy! 16th note -heartbeats per measure,
Soul hiatus,Liberty Bell treasure.
Philadelphia spawned the dalliance
of my leisure, whilst on holiday,
and afforded the pleasure.
"God bless the Child", as grace
sought and found,"Willows weep not"
I'm vacation bound.
A friend, Eleanora: by my side,
in the first week of April,
as the Day transpires-
Warm as the sun like an Easter
days outing...Hours
are like minutes, and fruits never
sour,
Stuyvasents Harlem, too far from there now,
Eleanora and I, yet together somehow,
At a pub in a restaurant,
a jukebox displays, emotions we feel-
whilst on Holiday.
