The Room of Broken Parts

Poetry By: magicofwriting101

A poem that I created when I was thinking about the word "broken."

Shattered hearts lye on the cold floor of the dark and lifeless basement room, drained of energy

Minds broken in the corner

Insecure bodies pinned to the wall

Like posters of enduring mistakes

The misleading voices swimming around the room

Ears propped against the wall, the ones that weren't supposed to hear a sliver of secrets

Eyes in a big cluster around an ancient support beam

Eyes that saw hatred, dissappointment, loss, and anger

Lips are spread around the room, for they have spread to many rumors, kissed too much heartbreak

Stomachs ach in the crner with fear

They have felt too many daggers, digging into them

Too many butterflies spiking harshly around their walls

Lost souls force their wispy selves through the walls

Is everything in this room a mistake?

For this is the room of the pained, the bullied, the angry, the innocent and the broken

This is the room of broken parts
