A Mile In Your Shoes, And Mine

Poetry By: MAmberConrad

Scatterbrain posed a challenge:
To write about Walking In Someone Else's Shoes...

So, I thought about my sister

A Mile In Your Shoes
I don't know where they would take you
My Converse, my best friend, my comfort-zone
They'd tell you of all my heart-aches
And of all my accomplishments
I try on your high heels
And I'm afraid of heights
My ankles hurt,
Goodness, how do you walk in these things??
I walk around in them and they tell me
Of your heartaches and accomplishments
Your shoes tell me
That you've walked more than just a mile
You've walked everywhere
Everywhere I hadn't been
Do you want your shoes back?
Yes, I want mine.
Your shoes hurt my feet,
As I'm sure mine hurt yours
At least,
We know each other's pains now.
