Closed Eyes Tight

Poetry By: MAmberConrad
Poetry

I popped onto Booksie for a short time today, only to find that Ian Dawn has posted a challenge. This is my response to his challenge. It took me all of three minutes. Hope it makes sense. By the way, I'm on a mini-vacation and am doing well. Thank you to those who checked up on me!

Epiphany lost

The light dims

Twilight resists my stare

But only for so long

Light will fight

Against the dark

Oh, to breathe again,

To breathe again…

My lids bite closed

To see fireflies beneath

Within and only within

The darkness of light
