Poetry

Once upon a time, I worked for an elderly facility. This poem is dedicated to one of the patients there.

Lady At The Table
I know a lady
Who sits at the same table
Day in and day out
We sometimes talk
What life is all about
She keeps her spirits
Though I see her sadness
And I want her to smile
To show her that
Life is worth the while
She has her hobbies
Her own life-style
Her own set pace
She knows that
Life is not a race
I know a lady
Who sits at the same table
Every single day
And to sit and talk with her
Is my work's play.
