Memories,...

Poetry By: MAmberConrad
Poetry

This is one of the first songs I ever wrote. I was about 14 years old. It has piano and guitar along with the lyrics.

I look around the room

And glance at the memories

Memories of joy

And memories of pain

Memories of sunlight and glory and

Memories of the dark rain

Memories that cling to one's heart

Memories stay forever and can

Never fall apart

I look outside the window

Where there once was a day

But now it is all a memory

And one that is here to stay

Taking my eyes off the window

Something bright caught my glance

I reached to pick it up

But I wouldn't dare touch a memory's dance

Memories that cling to one's heart

Memories stay forever and can

Never fall apart.
