Reaching
reaching for the light
reaching for you
my arms reaching out to you
take my hand
guide me through the dark
hand in hand,
together in the dark

ah, it gives me the visual image of a small light up ahead as a guide would pulling you through the dark to get to. cool!
I'm so glad to hear you are meditating and bringing inspirings with it :)

MA, Another beautiful poem. Do me a favor and don't ever stop reaching and asking for help through the dark, because Psalms 30:5 [King James Ver.] says, For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Yes.. I notice it isn't calculating your reads either! It's showing 'comments' and 'I like it' votes but '0' reads and it's the reads that keep your piece in the featured writing!! Ahhhgggg!!!!
Well, I really enjoyed your poem, MA. It's amazing what we find when we reach out. Well done, my friend!! Happy days.....Jerry

A poem of fear, of willingness, of trust and of hope, very, very nice. Hope this comment finds you well, Ted

A simple but well-thought-out poem. You certainly seem to be reaching out at this moment in your life as one of your other poems, "Searching" suggests. I hope you find what you are looking for, or, at the very least, never stop looking for it. If we stop reaching out, we ourselves become unreachable. Keep writing. Annie

... another great poem, but this one leaves a big question mark over my head. I love it cause it is so deep... so simple and short, yet deep. I'm sure I will be staring at my ceiling tonight when I go to bed thinking about the meaning of this poem. Maybe you didn't mean for it to be something to really think about, but I'm glad it will give me something to meditate on :)
