About a love that just isn't meant to be.

She lays there quietly,
Before the break of dawn,
I watch her breathe
Before I know it, she'll be gone
In the still of the moonlight
Her breath, so calm,
Eyes in a beautiful slumber,
And, soon, she'll be gone
Is she really here,
Being so withdrawn,
She's my permit for love,
And, in the morning, she'll be gone.
