Oh, wow. I wrote this back in '96. My one semester in college, I strummed my guitar as I sat in the bed of someone's truck and came up with this!! Enjoy! Sorry, no audio.

The Last Country Song. . . (Thank God)

I got drunk one night

My truck got stolen

I had to walk home

Where my heart was broken

The wife had her bags packed

She was leaving me

She told me, "I don't love you anymore,

Can't you see?"

She walked out the door

And as I watched her go

I heard a choking sound

From my dog Moe.

He died two hours later

As my head began to nod

This has been a hell of a day and

This is the last country song, thank god.
