Thank you to Lady Black for providing quite a challenge/ contest. She gave us the shape square and we had to write about it.

The Misshapen Box

I go in, feet first and try to sit

I realize that I may not quite fit…

[ ]

I fold my arms just so -

Hold my head down low

[ ]

The lid covers me

Claustrophobia overwhelms me

[ ]

I raise the lid and give it a toss

I am here to show the square who's boss

[ ]

My head lifts and peeks out

Looking and looking about

[ ]

My arms salute a warm hello

My body, finally in control

[ ]

I stand, step out, kick the away that square

Reclaim my space, with room to spare
