She sat across the room

Sipping playfully on her drink

Never had time to even think

He walked across the room to me

As if in a trance

Hoping he'd ask me to dance

She looked up at me

She smiled, oh, so beautifully

It made my heart leap

He took my hand

I stood from my chair

And ran my hands through my hair

She seemed nervous

But she needn't be

Soon we will be dancing

He took me upon the floor

His hands around my waist

Our hearts interlaced

We danced to the rhythm

Of a nice slow song

Our bodies moved gracefully along

He kissed me on the cheek

As our dance was done

And my heart was won
