I was watching a car-testing show, obviously.

Crash Test Dummies are here with a purpose

They ensure our safety so we may live

From birth they already were a sure curse

With multiple injuries or a short life to give

They are the first to tryout a new car

Or bike, and then buckled down for safety

Set off to high speeds but not very far

Seated in twos or an entire family

A lucky bunch survive through

Some get vigorously ripped apart

Though each limb gets replaced like new

As they continue again from the start

Where do these dummies eventually go?

The ones that are 'injured" or shredded away

Perhaps recycled at a departmental store?

Or sent back to the mechanic...

to face another sad, crash-test day?
