I Tell You The Truth

Poetry By: Maria Linda
Poetry

The Truth will set you free. My life testimony. I was once in darkness without any hope. But the moment i heard and embraced the Truth--freedom at last. Dear reader, whatever pain, brokenness, bitterness, hopelessness, or darkness you may be in right now...let me tell you this: There is freedom waiting for you. Just seek and you will find the truth that will set you free. You are not what you've come to believe you are. You see yourself an addict? A loser? A nobody? A freak? Unwanted? Alone? Unloved? That's a lie. The truth says you are the Lord Almighty's creation. A masterpiece. Beloved. His precious child.

Once I Had This Dream That I Am A Princess,

My Father Is Known As King Of Kings, Full Of Love And Kindness,

But I Woke Up To See My Life In Reality, I Am But Just-- A Lowly Peasant Lady;

**********

I Live Not In A Palace Nor A Mansion,

I Sleep And Sprawl In A Place Dark As A Dungeon.

I Am A Prisoner Of The Evil King In This Kingdom Of Darkness,

Escape Does Not Seem Possible, I'm Powerless, Hopeless.

*****************

Then One Day A News Was Heard In The Kingdom Of Darkness,

The King Of Kings Came Looking For His Long Lost Daughter Princess,

The Herald Said The Evil King Has Made A Scheme For Ransom,

The King Of Kings Must Pay A Price For Her Redemption.

****************

I Thought It Wouldn't Be A Problem As He Has All The Riches To Pay,

But Alas, The Evil King Wanted A Ransom In Such An Evil Way,

The King Of Kings Would Have To Subject Himself To A Public Disgrace,

Suffer Like A Lowly Peasant, Be Flogged And Be Chastised.

*******************

It Was Quite A Mad Show We Lowly Peasants Watched,

The Evil King And His Army All There With Such Devious Laugh,

Taunting The King Of Kings Now Stripped Of All His Glory,

He's There Writhing In Pain, A Horrible Scene Of Gory.

*******************

I Couldn't Seem To Fathom Why He Had To Do That,

He Could Have Just Left And Forget Whoever That Princess Is,Can He Not?

With This Thought In My Mind I Happen To Caught His Gaze,

And The Message In His Eyes Put Me In Such A Daze...

It Said, passion_of_the_christ.jpg

"I've Come To Rescue You...My Long Lost Daughter Princess."
