A blithe little shadow

Poetry By: Mark Manchester
Poetry

What is a blithe little shadow? It's that petrol emotion, of course.

This modern world it teaches us,
To speak our minds and to discuss.
But of course some things are best unsaid,
I hate to lie but I must not say how I feel.
And if you were to understand,
The ways of the world, of modern man.
You'd maybe know how best you can be,
A solid guy who knows how it is to be real.
It's just as though you were out of touch...

It hits your brain with the speed of an arrow,

On the narrow,
It's a blithe little shadow.
When your heart's beating out of your mouth,
If The Scarlet Gang can't pick you up
Well I know I'd like to believe in a thing called freedom.
