When I meet my wife, I will be in the zone
Running naked without fear through
words, they’ll flow, allowing her to be
just what she is

When I meet my wife, no words will be needed
and she will move like a Goddess,
even as she may create no motion
And with no motion at all, she will move me

On a dance floor, in a bookstore, outdoors, under
stars, in a bedroom
It will all be the same,
when we play our little game

And how I wonder what my wife is doing
Right this minute, at this point, now, as
I write, and she has not yet
met the match of her life

And how I wonder, now
Is she fulfilled with her games, in
bed with a friend, on the phone all alone
As I work myself into that zone

thanks, and I think I already met her awhile back but she's still not my wife yet.

The tense somehow reminds me of a quote from an archeology class I took in college about the quality of work of the ancient romans:

They don't make 'em like they used to, well they hardly ever did.

Took me so long to understand what the hell that meant.

thanks for the comment

"And with no motion at all, she will move me" - that is a wicked line. Reminds of the song, Paralyser.

I like how u r preparing for your wife and how u know how it's going be, but in the end, she will be your wife. For now, unmet.

Actually wrote this a long while back, and have a long term girlfriend now. I guess life doesn't really play out the way you once drew it up.

I actually met her in an office space type work seminar led by this mustache weilding, left brain dominated, plad suit wearing, brain washing corp American type. She was pretty much straight off the boat from Russia at the time and still working out her English. No, the words weren't really flowing out naked at the time.

Aww, what a sweet poem. My fav line was "even as she may create no motion, And with no motion at all, she will move me" That is such a beautiful line, and hope it's true. oh and I like the pic, just for the record. :) ~ Nixie

I continue to be surprised by the positive responses to this one. Thanks again!

The last stanza was my favorite, but the whole thing was wonderful. The breast exam made me wonder though?? :) Great job with the poem.
