The hope is glowing in despair
And believing means you dare to care
The will will doubt, and fears will grow
But when you fall into darkness, don’t become forever lost
to the hell below
Slipping and Sludging and Scathing the walls
Crawled to ascend the black icy falls
But withering and dying the candle burns out
And hope is swept away to the black seas of doubt
Thrash violence against currents, until all desire is lost
And scream out in echoes with discovering the cost
Of losing the game by defining its end
As night circles ‘round you, and somber moonlights descend
Still onward and upward, must trudge through decay
Through the sult-rusted anguish, to seek a heavenly ray
Tangled, lost in darkness, holding all life in its light
Surrounded by truth’s shadows on this treacherous night
Upon a glimpse, you may grasp it, feel a warm nurturing beam
Now become it, with conception, ascend through the stream
But impure with desire, the darkness surrounds
And the sins pull you tumbling toward the edge of hell’s bounds
Now nothing matters and nothing is lost
No creation, nor destruction, until another is crossed
So build the foundation and the carry the stone
For destiny is sick and hell is your thrown
Cannot accept it, this fate, has been cheated before…
Remembered living memory, contemplation outside door
Where thoughts of paradox now form without lies
That escape is eminent, simply open yours eyes
And again see the terrified, imperfect stranger in the mirror
Reflecting chaos and hate; breeding an uncontrollable fear
That darkness shall soon harness, pulling you deep through its core,
So in this moment, I’ll implore you, you must run to his door
Language is futile, but force up a sound
For the mind needs comfort to remain loosely wound
Breathe with the angel and pull in thin air
But upon reaching true fulfillment, question his dark, glaring stare
Eyes closed, all alone, his words spill around the room
Yet even two minds cannot free you from this Tantalus doom
An uncovered a thought seeping, tightly laden with friction
Your addiction is self affliction
Release from all thoughts to hear head crack against the floor
Colors melt into darkness, mind simply cannot take anymore
But it continues, growing backward, reforming the constant puzzle that is life
That could be solved forever in this moment if you just had a knife
And uncomfortably in continuity, the darkness breathes on asking why
Why you would harm its pureness with your being, and desperately must try
To breath with the palpitation, leading colors to fight on without shame
So tell your dark angel now, life is no game
Now before you the answer stands full in its glory
Inside of a man at the doorway who’s captured a story
Questioning evolution’s sporadic white lies
And upward you are lifted into the bright ceiling skies
They spiral without mercy, without hints of remorse
Twisting through failures before mocking life’s course
Resting in a small still shallow vision of a friend
Who stands again before you to unknowing lead the world to its end
Together you stood, but now there are more
And chaos pulls you close to the Answer’s white core
Hopeless wanderers, you know we are all,
But the questions to the answers all slip through the wall
So brave on my dear man, or woman, or child
And ponder its worth, its meaning, its style
Don’t race too close, nor run from it’s breathe
And learn distinctly, for certain will life meet its death
And in the faceless face, face yourself, a memory of light
Where darkness conquers all, each and every last flight
Then hope then can die down, between the between
Where conscience has been growing, echoed, unseen
Found a quite couch sheltered from the cursed room of fear
The pet joins from nowhere, will wait with you here
And as sinking waves of torment continue deep through the night
Growls heard at each apex, so pray, and hold for daylight
