This is very sweet Matt! I've seen several of your good nights and they are always wonderful. I bet that whoever you wrote it for felt very honored and special. I love this one Matt.

After your great comments on some of my work I thought I'd look at some of yours. I was not disappointed.
This piece is delicate and for me its more about what is not said -the words between the lines-
It's sad and thoughtful (at least thats what i get from it)"shining near, shining far" was the line that stood out the most for. Like someone who is forever with you but not here at all: I love that image. Its like the promise of forever
An exquisite poem

Matthew so sweet, so sad. So simply, beautifully, thoughtfully, lovingly written - a poem to endure through the ages.
