Death

The rain is dreary
A mournful death
Life passes by with every breath

Worms crawl ‘round in the ground
A wreath of flowers is his crown
Visitors in black do dress.

Time has taken its toll
Death has rotted away
All the youth of his day

His life ended one bright afternoon
To be flattened by a Mack-truck
was his doom
