Monuments

The ravages of time destroy monuments of mankind.
Chilling memories of pasts survive,
fading slowly into the sands of time.
Built by hands long since gone,
yet these things live on,
covered by the sands of time.
Some long since gone, faded into the past.

Future uncovers the buried past,
filling in the blanks of knowledge.
The sands of time are blown away.
Mysteries of the past uncovered.
The present taught by the past,
Old knowledge revealed,
The future and past merge.
