A shadow on the wall
Dancing in the night
It speaks to you in whispers
And gives you quite a fright
It may show your true self
Or someone you let go
It can show the way of life
And yet still remain no show
The way it speaks to you
Makes you feel cold
The way it shows itself
Makes you feel old
A shadow on the wall
Dancing in the night
It speaks to you in whispers

The outline of the shape
The darkness that appears
The way it doesn’t speak
Only simple sneers
It appears in the light
It stays in the dark
