Decimal Places

Poetry By: meriddle

I don't know. If a poem isn't read differently by each person, it isn't a poem at all.

Decimal Places

By M. E. Riddle

In the beginning

There was a being

It grew deep roots

And bore seed

Soon to fruit

Soon to breed

This is not real

A serious fantasy

The beginning here

The future there

Lifting to a place

At the rim of a vortex

On a figure eight

And somewhere between

The here and the there

Is something whispered

By your mother's grace

Floating on a royal barge

Meters slide beside

Memories being made.
