By M. E. Riddle

If you can wear the gold hat,

then wear it for her too.

If you can bounce high,

Bounce high for her too till she cry;

"High bouncing, gold hatted lover-

I need you!"

F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Sipping old wine

And old worldviews

Melted cool

By the image of you.

Slipping by

The night sky

In our eyes.

We respond

A responsibility

To be one.

Child's play

An illusion

Deadly fun

With enthusiasm..

A cask of wine

In a lifetime

Many sunsets

Seventy summer times.

Fall in my arms

Whisper a song

Tonight we are lovers

Tomorrow were gone.
