Just my observation on 'Emo' type people. I'm not pigeonholing them by any means, when I was real grungy looking I hated it when people do that. All I'm saying really is that I hope being into these bands gets their fans into some music that really means something. It just strikes me that there is vast of amount of style over content going on in this genre. I'm not anti emo, I just hope that people move on from it and discover truly great rock bands that inspired this genre - read NME this week, for example, and Gerard Way is waxing lyrical about Smashing Pumpkins, and he based his band's latest album on one of theirs. I manage a music shop for a living, so I get paid to know all this crap! Most of all, don't be offended emo guys and gals, I was just the same when I was a kid, I was just lucky that the bands of the era really were great. I'm speaking from experience and having grown up and really discovered all sorts of beautiful music...and I hope you all do too. View table of contents...

Wear make-up if you're a boy
Wear more if you're a girl
List yourself on myspace,
Declare bi-sexual to the world
Devine no truth through music
Only fashions trends
Disagree with that previous statement
Because you havn't discovered music yet
Buy kerrang and metal hammer
Nu rave NME
All the while remaining clueless
About how music should really be.

This is soo true about "EMOS". But some EMOS even cut themselfs and do other stupid stuff so this is a nice poem for them.

Just claiming your bi seems to get people into the emo club. I think it's funny that emo is supposed to be about being your own person but yeah, they do all look the same.
I like it, it seems to portray your experience and advice to the younger generation who follow this 'just because'! x

yeah it's annoying, it's not just emos though, loads of groups throughout society have the same traits obviously because the group is like minded, sometimes it's hard to be different, but then your in the different group, maybe that's why I'm such a loner lol,well who cares, and as for the bi stuff, that's everywhere now too, 'like I'm so cool, bet you wanna see me' go get a life. Great work.
