Diamonds in the Sand

Poetry By: Methelusa
Poetry

Just my odd take on dating - again a song in a previous life, hence the chorousy part. All input appreciated.

Too far to walk,

But closer than before.

Too tired to talk

Don't you think I know?

The diamonds in the sand,

Your sister with the stars.

Both chained by your own hand,

Don't you think I know?

Never, ever,

Whenever, wherever.

Candle light for two,

You know you're being used.

But too bored to breathe,

Or make it easier.

Never, ever,

Whenever, wherever.
