Nothing, to put it simply

Poetry By: MeyganPaige

This poem explains the relationship between my brother and I. Of course we're not as dysfunctional as we used to be. Hope you like it!

Nothing, to put it simply
By: Megan Herrick

Pieces everywhere scattered on the floor.
Starring beyond the open door.
Vanishing into a plague of nothingness.
For, nothing seems transparent, or clear.
Nothing is all I hear.
Quarrelsome by nature; a most unpleasant feature.
Something like you; a creature.
Not expecting a very poisonous cure.
As it lures you near.
Watching, waiting for an anticipated tear.
But getting nothing in return. This emotion I’ll soon learn.
And yearn for nothing as it seems.
Waking up from this unpleasant dream.
For as it seems, your intensity so keen.
As you lean near.
Eyes widened in fear.
Keeping you unwanted, yet close.
Injecting; yearning another dose.
Confused and repetitiously posed.
All of your something…now turns to nothing.
As if that’s all it shall ever be.
