CORNERED....

A SHORT POEM FOR THOSE, WHO LIKE MYSELF, FEEL CORNERED AT TIMES.

Cornered in all directions,
By lies, pressure and failed objections.
My world crumbles before my eyes,
My once victorious spirit dies.

Cornered with no way out,
I desperately seek the escape route.
cornered by pain and affliction,
A defeated, battered man shows my reflection.

Cornered by life on a steep cliff,
Shedding tears accompanied by a slight sniff.
That's all that's left of a man once thought courageous,
But remember, when cornered an animal is most dangerous.
