LIfe, the beauty of life.
Sweet, yet it tears at you like a knife.
Entices one like the sweetest fruit,
Let's you grow, then plucks you by the root.
Like a treasure long sought after,
As a childs adorable laughtter,
Yet sour and bitter at moments,
Balancing happiness with torments.
Onions, salt and limes,
A mixture one must taste at times.
White and black, but mostly gray,
Dries your soul like hardened clay.
It is dark, yet bright,
Pitch black, yet pure white.
Giving off a blinding light,
Yet devouring you in the darkest night.
