WRITERS, NOT BEGGARS

A SHORT POEM IN WHICH I GIVE MY OPINION ABOUT SOME WRITERS HERE. IT'S NOT MEANT FOR EVERYONE, BUT I'M SURE WE ALL KNOW SOMEONE HERE WHO SHOULD READ THIS..

I'll be your fan if you'll be mine,
Read my work when you have time.
What a lousy way to make fans,
Is there no talent in your hands?

A true poet or writer doesn't ask,
The lack of talent they try to mask.
Becoming a fan is one's choice,
It's not influenced by a begging voice.

People either like your work or don't,
They'll either be your fans or they won't.
When did our great poets beg for fans?
Yet if I asked many here I would see many hands.
