Poetry By: Michael Barney

This is a song that my best friend Rocco DiFronzo and i just finished about how you can have everything you want and yet have nothing at all..for the flesh profits nothing.

False Desires

Verse 1:

Give me your false desires
Failed attempts at inner peace
You and your ivory tower
I could never find the key

Stand and face disaster
Hoping you won't have to flee
Your world is a fairy tale land
It's not the place for me

So build it up, I'll tear it down
Your losing what you've never found

It's in faces, places, everywhere you go
You live in a world that just isn't so
You will find, blind, empty love that's lost
Looking back now at the price it cost

And just cry, cry for yourself.

Verse 2

Vanity is your newest realm
Please your image of perfection
But love this emptiness you keep
For its home to your sadness

Look ahead to where you are
Of what importance do you own
A life so full of nothingness
Except for the God you loathe

Slowly dying inside
Your fading away
Let tears fall from your eyes
As you know you are lost

Revise what is left
Take back your soul
Give until you are broken
And then find yourself!
