I had found disappointment in breathing
And total inner torment
No purpose, no reason, no life
Or so I thought
My angst came from living
I had reached the pinnacle of despair
And the zenith of my turmoil
I had everything I wanted
I had nothing at all
I couldn't even bring my blood to boil
Rather bleed it out
I had fallen in the darkness of death
My mind had taken control
Giving myself wrath
I played into the fool
We have daily differs
But it's the choices we face
And the prices we pay
That should keep focused on the race
Its not the winning
But rather the running
Its not the fame
But rather the prize we seek
