Rebel Spark

Poetry By: Micheal Grey

No matter what you do, something always remains. Something always survives and gives birth to another. It is inescapable, immutable. Sometimes heart-wrentching.

Watching them all dance into the fire,

One-by-one consumed by ire.

A flare, then sputter.

Caught in new night.

Rebellious spark.

Floating, breaking, dancing.

Dark eyes reflecting.

Firmaments burning.

Broken curse.

Muffled scream.

Shutting eyes.
