2012: The End

Poetry By: Midnight Jade
Poetry

We were given a date: The 21st of December 2012.
We were given a time: 11am
Though we didn't die, we could have changed.

The End of Days

So we didn't die!

We're all still here

With our celebrations

And good ol' cheers

But what did we learn

From this escapade?

How to live life?

How to be brave?

We were given a warning

We'd been given a date

But what did we do

Except create more hate?

We could've saved lives

Could've ended the war

If we were gonna die anyway…

What was it for?

But we just laughed it off

And ignored the chance

To live every day

Like you'd live your last

The world is corrupt

But we didn't change

Even though we thought

It was the end of days

Now what does that say…

About the Human Race?
