Gone but not forgotten
I miss the way you held me,
whenever I was sad.
I miss your smile, your voice,
and the way you always made me laugh.
I miss how you listened to my problems,
you always knew what to say.
The day you left, my world came down because you could not stay.
I know you watch over me now, crying tears when you miss us here.
You will always be in our hearts, it does not matter that we are apart.
We feel you with us every day.
I still have your picture, I keep it close by me.
Can you see me? Are you proud of me?
I don’t want to cry anymore, it hurts me too much.
I try not to do it, but every now and then it is like a crutch.
I miss you a lot and I know that you are gone.
I miss the way you used to get things done.
You always knew what to say to me, always there when I needed you to be.
You are watching us from Heaven now, probably sitting on the biggest cloud.
I think of you all the time, and when I do, I miss you more and I start to cry.
I wish that time could be rewound.
Back to when you were still around.
