My guardian from Heaven

When the stars are shining brightly, I know that you are smiling.

Looking down and keeping a close eye, you are making sure that we don’t cry.

We remember how you used to be.

Joking, stubborn and as sweet as candy.

You made us laugh at a lot of things.

Now it is different because you are gone from me.

I feel you with me where ever I go.

From a fluttering butterfly, to the winds that blow.

I felt you with me today, you hugged me and I knew that things would be okay.

I know you are proud of me, and that you will always be here with me.

No matter where I go, it is you I feel and see.

You’re my guardian angel now.

I am glad of that for I know to not ask how.

I love you and miss you,

I know you keep me safe, that is true.

Whenever I feel lonely and start to cry,

I look up and feel your smile shining down from the sky.
