Days of Old

Poetry By: Mike Florio

A poem displaying sexual tension through the burden of age. Special thanks to The Kinks, who influenced the poem with their song, "living on a thin line." Also there is a mention of the Board Game, Risk.

"There is no England now!"

She screams from the Risk Board.

Patches of scalp

Decorate his hair.

"Shall we not get caught up

In the past?" He asks.

She thumbs the thin line

Between foreign countries

And then, seductively,

Wraps her lips around the neck

Of a Miller Light Bottle.
