This is a poem that my small education has helped me write and I consider it a good creed for all poets.

Kerouac was a drunk.

Byron was a whore.

Whitman was a douche-bag.

And Thompson broke the law.

Hemingway killed himself.

Pound had no sense of style.

Wordsworth had a bastard son.

And Ginsberg was a pedophile.

Tennyson was creepy.

Yeats was pussy-whipped.

Eliot could not get laid.

And the chapter on Burns is often skipped.

But if You can see the good they've done,

It's okay, young poet, your time will come.
