As I sit here writing, I'm wondering why
I ever thought it would be a good idea to try
to write a poem with 10 rhyming lines (sigh!)
It started out as 4 rhyming lines, but my
brain conceived it was a good idea for more, and my hands did buy
the concept, but now all I do is sit here and cry
My mind is a void, and with new words, I'm coming up dry
With frustration, my mind does fry
The only reason I can think of, is I'm a guy
who enjoys a good challenge, I cannot lie!
The face looking back in the mirror, has a certain look in his eye
that says, 'To fail, I'd rather die!'
And when I succeed, I want to write it in the sky
And so, to all my Booksie friends, I say 'hi!'
