An Open Letter to the President:

For a long time, something's been missing

So inspiring as a candidate; as president, not so much

Your speeches made people feel good about themselves,

Then, for whatever reason, that went away

So focused on leading, you forgot what got you there

Now, don’t get me wrong, I still think you’re great,

But you seemed to abandon your message of hope,

Hope for us little people, hope for a better tomorrow

You gave a weapon for those who disagree

To use against you, to fight you with all the way

I believe it’s never too late; return to lifting up people’s hope

Start being the Inspirer-In-Chief!
