Another Dose of Self-Therapy
When troubled waters seem too wide to swim across,
When the rising water threatens to overwhelm you,
Drag you down to the cold sea floor,
Just go to Word and write, write, write
Sharing you fears with others seems to lessen the pain
If you’re like me, and distrust all shrinks,
Try to help yourself by facing your demons in print
See what others think; I’m not sure how it works,
But just seeing them written out helps a little
Giving a voice to your troubles makes them seem easier to handle
Encouragement from others helps you to see
Possible ways out of this hole you dug for yourself
