Out With the Old, In With the Old
Seems the more things never change, they never change
Same old face getting older all the time
See-saw to nowhere sends you on your way
Back where you started, only back a bit
A dead end driveway with no room to turn around
A one way street going directly past your exit
Helplessly watching as you're going the wrong direction
Board the wrong bus; watching as your destination sails by
Take the wrong flight and it doesn’t matter,
You still end up in the same ghost town
Empty echoes fill your head; empty promises you’ll never keep
Staring at nothing sure hurts the eyes
Drifting reality gives way to desolation
Can’t quite remember the words to a song you used to know by heart
Can’t place the face of a well-known actor
How can time pass so quickly and so slow?
