Jealousy
“I want what THAT person’s got”
Whatever YOU have; good enough it’s not
The grass seems so much greener on the other side of the fence
I guess wanting someone else’s, is just common sense
Jealousy also makes you act crazy
Your mind starts thinking the worst, maybe
it’s something awful; a betrayal that cuts deep
Jealousy blinds your eyes; it’s impossible to see
I know, because I was once that guy
Felt the adrenaline rush, when you don’t know why
I thought some really out there, crazy thoughts
I built things up, until they were not
reality; I drove myself nuts
And it’s so damaging; counter-productive, but,
you’re out of your mind; not knowing what’s going on
A white-hot emotion; insanity, I’m so far gone
Jealousy, a self-destructive thing
What with the craziness it brings!
