Saying Sorry Doesn’t Cut It
Sometimes you make promises that you can’t keep
You reneged, and you come away feeling cheap
You shouldn’t have said anything until you were positive
that what you said you’d do, was yours to give
Saying sorry doesn’t cut it; but what else can you do?
It wasn’t a good fit, but that’s no excuse, should have waited till you knew
Now they probably have hurt feelings, and you feel 2 feet tall
You now regret saying anything at all!
You tried to do the right thing, but it blew up in your face
You shouldn’t have been so hurried, you shouldn’t race
blindly ahead without checking everything
You only hope they forgive, and hold nothing
against you, and that they’ll understand
that you are just an impatient kind of man!
