Train Keeps a Rolling, Right Over a Cliff!
By Mike Stevens
I can see it coming, it’s as plain as day,
Train wreck’s a coming; can’t get out of the way
Passengers of doom, we did this to ourselves
Unbridgeable divides in the ways we think
The two sides rushing away at light speed
Total strangers; can’t find middle ground
Self-inflicted hatred cuts to the bone
Left side or the right side, and nothing in between
Media re-enforcing which ever way you think
What about us, the ones caught in between?
I certainly lean left, but I’m smart enough to see
There’s no way to get everything I wish for
Compromise has become a dirty word
