WHO  IS  THE  REAL  BLIND ?

THIS  QUESTION  COMES  THOUSAND  TIMES  IN  MY  MIND .

A  PERSON  DEPRIVED OF SIGHT  OR THE GUY WHOSE EYES ARE FULL OF LIGHT?

WE LOOK AT THE SKY AND WE LOOK AT THE GROUND

BUT WE DON'T LOOK AT THE NEEDY WHO NEEDS A POUND.

WE  LOOK AT THE COMPUTERS AND WE LOOK AT IPODS

BUT WE DON'T HAVE  TIME TO LOOK AT OUR TINY TOTS.

WE LOOK HERE AND WE LOOK THERE

BUT WE DON'T LOOK AT THE INNER SELF WE BEAR.

WHAT IS THE USE OF THIS SIGHT

THAT FAILS TO SEE SOMEONE'S  PLIGHT?

AND HENCE THIS QUESTION COMES THOUSAND TIMES IN MY MIND

THAT WHO  IS THE REAL BLIND???

thanks for liking it... i was very apprehensive as it was my first attempt.

That was damn good. Most of the rhymes were powerful and I really do appreciate the solid ending in it.

We r blessed wid many things by God so dat v can help d deprived people.I wud like 2 say 'Paro upkaraya idam shariram'..its in sanskrit & it means 'Dis body is 4 others benefit'....just like trees bear fruit 4 oders, cow gives milk& rivers flow 4 oders.

hi! m. it is sad and unfortunate that everyone wants to look at the bright aspects of life and ignore the needy. u've rightly pin pointed the 'blinds'. a very thoughtful poem. keep it up. lol. ;-)

Thanx bubbly, it really feels great when u make others think even 4 a while abt d needy people.V r so engrossed wid our own SELF dat v rarely think abt even our frnds& relatives...4get abt feeling a stanger's pain....

You are talking about 'in'sight. This gives an insight into how a poet feels about a vital issue. The sight without empathy is worthless. Well said.

Its true smoizza, & I pesonally feel empathy is much superior to sympathy. Its human nature dat v understand only those things which v feel.
