RADIO WORLD,

INVISIBLE WAVES

ELECTRONIC,

WE HIDE BEHIND SCREENS,

BLACKBERRY MORONIC....

ALL OF US STRANGERS,

TEXTING AND TYPING...

SENT THRU THE AIR.

SO YOU DON'T SEE US GRIPING.

MY HAIR AND MAKEUP TOTALLY A MESS,

iTS THE ONLY GOOD THING

ABOUT IT

I CONFESS.

AS WE ADD,

EDIT,

AND DELETE,

TO SUIT MANY NEEDS...

AND

BAM!..

MESSAGE SENT!

LIGHTENING SPEED,

IN

FACT,

LIGHTENING SPEED,

SEEMS SLOW TO SOME

OH SHIT !

OH DAMN

THIS BLACKERRY'S DUMB...!

I KEEP TRYING

TO CALL YOU

TEXT YOU

IM

BUT I CAN'T

SEE THE SCREEN

ITS SO DARK

IN HERE!

BABY,

I ONCE KNEW YOUR NUMBER...

OF COURSE BY HEART,

YOU KNOW

I LOVE YOU

I COULD DIAL YOU

IN THE DARK...

BUT

NOW?

RELATIONSHIP'S,

SEEM NOTHING...

MORE THAN CHEWING GUM...

AND...

IN A WORLD ELECTRONIC,

AND

TANGLED CHORDS...

ALL

GOING SO FAST,

I RUN AND RUN AND

RUN AND RUN...

WHILE

THOSE

CONVERSATIONS OF PAST,

NO NEED TO REMEMBER,

THE BRAIN ON MY PHONE

WILL RETRIEVE YOUR NUMBER...

BUT,

ONE WRONG BUTTON,

AND iVE LOST THE THOUGHT,

DO YOU KNOW

HOW MUCH

THIS BLACKBERRY

COST?

WHY DONT YOU TRY HISTORY,

OR FAVES...?

IT REPEATED...

BUT,

TRY AS i MIGHT

THAT MESSAGE DELETED.....

TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH,

i DIDN'T MIND IT.,

I'D RATHER

DRESS UP

AND DROP BY,

THAN FIND IT...

TO KISS YOU ALL OVER,

SO YOU CAN SEE MY EYES

INSTEAD OF ALL THOSE

DAMN INTERNET LIES!

BUT

NOW...

WHAT IS LIFE> BUT WORDS ON A SCREEN...

LUV U, MEAN IT

DNER @ TH IV ?

O K C U THN.........

MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT

OH NO?!

OH SHIT!!!!

OH GOD DAMN...

WHERE IS MY PEN?

I HIT THE WRONG BUTTON

AND

IT DELETED AGAIN.!!

.

If electronics disapeared maybe we all wouldn't be so "Jacked Up" don't you ever feel as though your thoughts are racing a million miles a minute from Invisible radio waves? I do...maybe cuz I live in a big city where everyone has not just one but two cell phones! I love electronics by the way...my nick name is Gadget girl because i have so many.
cheers to you I adore your work.

Mir Wilder:

Another good one! Gave it an "I Like It" vote.

What is a Blackberry? But a symbol of status, conspicuous consumption and a toy? A question for which I have no answer.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.

an annoying toy at that. The thing beeps in my purse constantly..I am going back to those cheapy phones! Nothing fancy just a phone thank you very much. I thought I needed a blackberry for the status here in LA....BS

Delete is indeed the villain of this piece. Damn delete.

Oh how i wish I had deleted so many things that I have just pushed send on...oh me oh my...that is the problem with being the self professed writer, knowing as an artist when you are just plain done.
You keep writing your verse friend, you are on to a wonderful life as a gifted writer.
