Conversations With Myself

Poetry By: Miss Becca
Poetry

I just wish I could go back, and tell myself (now that I'm older and wiser) what I wish those older and wiser than me, would tell me now.

I wish I could go back and tell me not to believe,
To expect disappointment, that they'd all leave.
I'd say that even if the words of love aren't true,
Sometimes the ones of hate aren't, too.
That if someone hurts you, but meant well,
Pull it together and return the favour, aswell.
When your heart breaks and the tears fall like rain,
It'll numb out soon enough, you won't feel the pain.
You'll find love in someone, in a day not so far away,
You'll find in someone, the desperate need to stay.
They'll love you, hold you, kiss and adore you,
Miss you more by the second, do anything for you.
I'd say these things, pray that they were true,
while wondering who I'm convincing, me or you?
