Final Song

Poetry By: Miss Becca
Poetry

As darkness covers me, my thoughts turn to you:
What you'd say to me, what you'd do.
You'd tell me not to be afraid, from my side you'd never have strayed.
Id see the tears you couldn't hide,
And those same tears, I would have cried.
Still, in the end, ill be glad its me not you,
Coz without your strength, what would I do?
But you're not here to watch me die,
And I won't ever see you cry,
From my coffin I pretend to hear you say,
No matter what you'd have loved me anyway.
With a smile on my lips, denial in my heart,
My breath hitches, in its final gasp.
So now, through deaf ears, I hear the last nail be hammered in.
With closed eyes, I watch the end, begin..
